Overview
We are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias to work with a range of Mitie clients to conduct work that provides a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines and to provide a reactive and pro‑active maintenance service as per project requirements to all operational equipment.
Responsibilities
1. Modify and install electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant as required.
2. Maintain, repair, and calibrate plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
3. Ensure key performance indicators are met and liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required.
4. Complete necessary paperwork and produce accurate and timely reports.
5. Uphold high standards in line with current company policies and procedures.
6. Report apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
7. Ensure safe and diligent completion of own work and work of those under supervision.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent up-to-date training.
* Good knowledge of building statutory compliance.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
