Qualifications
* Be a qualified Solicitor entitled to practice in Northern Ireland and hold a practising certificate issued by the Law Society of NI or be in a position to do so by 1 November 2025.
* Hold a bachelor’s degree (UK Qualification and Credit Framework Level 6) or an equivalent or higher qualification
Experience
* Within the last five years, a minimum of three years’ demonstrable post-qualification experience within a dedicated property law department.
* During the entirety of this three-year period, have had significant involvement (i.e., over 75% of own caseload) in advising and representing clients in a broad range of commercial property matters (including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals of land, commercial leases, licence agreements, etc.).
* Taken from the date on which the applicant qualified as a Solicitor
Other
* Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development to ensure competence to practice as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland
* The successful candidate will be required to have access to a suitable vehicle (appropriately maintained and insured for Education Authority business) that will enable them to carry out the mobility requirements of the post in an efficient and effective manner.
* Alternatively, be able to provide sufficient information on the application form that will satisfy the employer that they have access to an appropriate alternative form of transport.
