Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of our client in Luton for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their Operations Quality team. This is a temporary role with strong likelihood of extension and an opportunity to go permanent for the right person.
The Role
Working within a regulated aerospace & defence environment, youll act as a Quality focal point supporting in-service and returns material activities at IPT level.
Weekly structure:
2 days MRB meetings: reviewing units, identifying risks, entering data into SAP, Matlab & Excel
1.5 days Post-MRB investigations and documentation updates
1.5 days Preparing for the next MRB cycle
Training can be provided on systems, but strong quality knowledge is essential.
Key Responsibilities Support Quality Manager and Principal Quality Engineer
Investigate non-conformances (root cause & corrective action)
Review and approve returns, concessions and repair documentation
Ensure traceability and configuration control
Liaise with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and suppliers
Ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO9001
Provide quality reports and support continuous improvement
What Were Looking For Essential:
Experience in a similar Quality role
Strong understanding of quality principles and risk identification
Ability to translate engineering requirements into structured tasks
Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills confident with shop floor and senior stakeholders
Analytical, logical thinker
Desirable:
Aerospace & defence background
Experience with SAP, Matlab, Excel
Youll be confident, proactive and able to challenge appropriately, while remaining supportive and collaborative.
