Job Description
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer include:
1. Develop a deep understanding of composite manufacturing processes including surface prep, layup, bonding, abradable application, vacuum bagging, and autoclave curing.
2. Create and update procedures, work instructions, visual standards, and production documentation.
3. Monitor SPC data, identify process drifts, and support corrective action activities.
4. Work closely with production teams to improve processes and train operators.
5. Participate in MRB reviews and collaborate on root‑cause and corrective actions.
6. Support development of reporting tools and data‑driven process insights.
7. Prepare and present technical updates to engineering and leadership.
8. Identify automation and process improvement opportunities; coordinate implementation.
9. Improve manufacturing methods based on tooling, equipment capability, and quality needs.
10. Generate manufacturing reports to support operator feedback and quality documentation.
11. Collaborate with Quality and Product Engineering to communicate nonconformances.
12. Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Coordinate with global engineering teams on process improvements.
14. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and internal manufacturing standards.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
15. Bachelor's degree in Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
16. 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
17. Knowledge of composite processing and adhesive cure cycles preferred.
18. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
19. Comfortable spending extensive time on the production floor.
20. Experience with automation, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus.
21. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
22. Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 standards preferred.
23. Ability to travel up to 10%.
