We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology Team at the Regional Neurosciences Centre, Queens Hospital, serving a population of 750,000. This role offers a chance to develop expertise in adult neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
The focus is supporting inpatient services (including stroke patients), the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery service, and outpatient diagnostic clinics. You will develop skills in neuropsychological assessment using various psychometric tools (digital and paper-based) and conduct observational studies in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
There are opportunities to gain experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and deliver brief psychological interventions in the inpatient setting. The department offers excellent clinical supervision from three HCPC-registered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologists through weekly sessions.
Previous experience administering psychometric tools is desirable but not essential. We seek candidates with excellent communication, teamwork skills, and professionalism aligned with our Trusts PRIDE values.
Applicants should hold a British Psychological Society recognised degree. Experience as an Assistant Psychologist is preferred, making this role ideal for those aiming to pursue Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training.
To support and enhance the professional psychological and neuropsychological care of patients provided by qualified professional clinical neuropsychologists working within the neurosciences unit across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
