Job Description
A good food manufacturing site is seeking a hands‑on Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production running smoothly. You’ll maintain, repair, and optimize machinery while supporting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair plant and equipment, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly
* Deliver preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with food safety GMP hygiene and H&S standards
* Maintain accurate records and assist senior management as required
* Flexible approach with on‑call duties during peak periods
Requirements
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
* Hands‑on experience in food manufacturing
* 16th / 17th / 18th edition or equivalent
* Strong problem‑solving, organisation and communication skills
Desirable
* NEBOSH / IOSH food hygiene qualification
* Previous experience in a food production engineering role
