About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming school community in Telford. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting the academic and personal development of Year 5 students.
Your Main Duties:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 5 students, following the curriculum and schemes of work.
* Work collaboratively with the Year 5 teaching team to plan inclusive and stimulating learning activities.
* Assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and keep accurate records in line with school policies.
* Create a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment that supports every child’s growth.
* Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community.
* Uphold the school’s values and maintain a respectful classroom atmosphere.
* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development to contribute to the wider school community.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
* Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
* Good understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and effective teaching strategies for this age group.
* Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work well with students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to plan creative and differentiated lessons to meet diverse student needs.
* Competent in assessment and record-keeping to track and support student progress.
