A leading energy and technical services organisation is seeking a Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor to join its team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, operating on a hybrid basis with approximately 2-3 days per week in the Hertfordshire office. Role Overview
The Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor will be responsible for coordinating and delivering in-house retrofit projects, ensuring full compliance with PAS2035 standards and best practices. The role supports technical assurance, project oversight, and compliance, while engaging closely with internal teams and external partners. The position also involves keeping up to date with changes in sustainability policy, funding opportunities, and emerging technologies to help deliver high-quality retrofit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver retrofit coordination on live projects, ensuring adherence to PAS2035 frameworks and technical standards.
* Conduct retrofit assessments to evaluate property suitability and identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
* Support quality assurance processes for retrofit assessments, coordination, and design, maintaining high technical accuracy and compliance.
* Verify project data and documentation to support audits, funding applications, and reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate retrofit measures into overall project plans.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges while maintaining regulatory and sustainability compliance.
* Participate in project and technical meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Assist in development of internal procedures, process guides, and training materials to standardise retrofit delivery.
* Stay informed on industry developments, funding mechanisms, and policy updates to ensure alignment with current best practices.
* Conduct pre- and post-retrofit evaluations, analysing outcomes and identifying opportunities for further optimisation.
* Liaise with auditors and regulators to ensure all compliance obligations are met.
* Support development of funding strategies and integration of financial incentives into retrofit projects.
* Provide technical input to procurement teams to ensure sustainable material and contractor selection.
* Undertake additional duties as required to support retrofit delivery and sustainability objectives.

Requirements
Essential:
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites when required.
* Retrofit Assessor qualification and hands‑on project delivery experience.
* Retrofit Coordinator qualification (or working towards it).
* Experience in retrofit coordination, assessment, or energy efficiency projects.
* Strong understanding of PAS2035, building regulations, and industry standards.
* Ability to analyse technical data and produce compliant reports.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
