Job Duties
The CRM Analyst will serve as the lead functional and technical expert for Technolutions Slate, the customer relationship management (CRM) platform used to support undergraduate admissions and recruitment at Norfolk State University. This position is responsible for the administration, design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Slate in alignment with the University's strategic enrollment objectives.
The incumbent will lead CRM innovation by streamlining recruitment, application, and communication processes through efficient Slate configurations, form building, event coordination tools, and automated communication flows. A strong emphasis is placed on data integrity, system integration (e.g., with Colleague and Common App), reporting capabilities, and user support.
This role is essential to ensuring a modern, student-centered admissions experience and will collaborate with departments across the institution to implement CRM best practices. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive Slate experience, including prior service as a Slate Captain.
• Serve as the primary administrator for the Slate CRM platform, overseeing all system configurations, portals, workflows, and queries.
• Collaborate with recruitment and admissions teams to build and manage strategic communication plans and student engagement tools.
• Integrate Slate with Colleague SIS and third-party platforms to support data exchange and automation.
• Develop customized reports and dashboards to inform leadership decisions related to enrollment management.
• Train and support internal stakeholders on Slate functionality and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Troubleshoot CRM-related issues and liaise with Technolutions on system enhancements and best practices.;.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Higher Education, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Slate CRM experience within higher education.
• Knowledge of CRM best practices, including query building, application workflows, communication campaigns, and event management.
Additional Considerations
• Previous experience as a Slate Captain or CRM lead.
• Experience with HTML, SQL, JavaScript, and data visualization tools.
• Experience integrating Slate with Colleague SIS or other institutional systems.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
