About the job
We believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing home. Our small Residential Child Care homes create caring and supportive family-style environments for young people who have had challenging life experiences.
By placing the needs and interests of our young people at the heart of everything we do, our therapeutic homes support our young people to heal and grow. We build positive, trusting relationships through daily activities such as playing games and cooking meals together whilst developing life skills and helping our young people to feel safe, supported and ready for the future. We celebrate their achievements and do fun activities, but we’re also there during the difficult times to believe in them, even when they don’t believe in themselves.
What we look for
If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, have compassion, resilience and patience then we want to hear from you!
We have exciting opportunities to join our Residential Childcare teams as Sessional Support Workers. These roles offer the flexibility to balance your personal commitments whilst being an essential part of the team covering holidays and absence.
You don’t need to have experience of working in this sector. It is much more important to us that you share our values of putting young people first, acting with honesty, integrity and professional courage at all times and bringing creativity into your work. You will be given all the training and development you need to be great in your role and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake your professional qualifications 6 months after joining.
You will need a valid full manual drivers’ licence and all roles are subject to a successful PVG check from Disclosure Scotland.
