Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Finance Team as a Corporate Management Accountant.

The successful Candidate will work within the Corporate Finance Team supporting Corporate Affairs, Digital and other Corporate teams.

Based at the James Cook University Hospital, with the flexibility of hybrid working, the role will support the Finance Business Partner in the overall financial management of the Corporate collaborative, providing support to service managers and clinicians as well as overseeing the monthly financial reporting process.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Accountant to join our Financial management team which offers the flexibility of hybrid working.

Responsible for detailed review and reporting of the accounting of the month end position.

Produce accurate monthly forecasting in collaboration with budget holders and provide challenge to improve outcomes using financial and collaborative service knowledge.

Provide robust financial data and advice to support business cases.

Assist your FBP in identifying CIP opportunities.

Deputise for the Finance Business Partner.

1. Academic Qualification Degree or Equivalent
2. AAT Qualified or Equivalent

Desirable criteria

3. Studying towards CCAB Qualification or equivalent Professional Body

Knowledge & Skills

4. Knowledge of International Accounting Standard
5. IT Skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
6. Ability to work within a team but also manage own workload.
7. Effective time management skills
8. Excellent communication skills
