We are offering a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse Manager (Band 6-7) to work 9am 6pm, Monday to Friday, in our 8 bedded Infirmary Wing and also to attend to the medical needs of the other Sisters in the community. The Infirmary Wing is an integral part of our monastery and its purpose is to enable those Sisters requiring care to remain within our monastic family. As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will be: Delivering high quality, personalised nursing care in a mixed clinical and domiciliary environment. Managing a small team of dedicated care staff. This will include training, supervision and appraisal and organising staff rotas. Producing well developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, with an understanding of regulatory frameworks. Maintaining accurate documentation and records. Ordering of medication. Overseeing all aspects of medication management on your shift in accordance with policies and current legislation. Utilising your clinical skills to provide guidance and support to all team members. Supporting, guiding, teaching and mentoring others in line with the NMC Code. The person we are looking for will be: A Registered Nurse with experience of managing care staff. Experienced in Palliative Care and caring for those with Dementia. Passionate about delivering care of the highest quality. A self-motivated, competent and confident practitioner. A team player who engages well with others. Caring and compassionate.
