This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Long-term career opportunityWhat You'll Be Doing
Working on gas, diesel and electric forklift trucks and material handling equipment, your duties will include:
Repairs & Diagnostics
Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault finding
Repairing hydraulic valves, rams and pipework
Engine, gearbox and final drive repairs
Diagnosing faults and carrying out quality repairs
Servicing & Preventative Maintenance
Routine servicing and inspections
Oil and filter changes
Brake, steering and lifting equipment checks
Lubrication and preventative maintenance work
Equipment Overhauls
Strip-down and rebuild projects
Steam cleaning and chassis preparation
Fitting ancillaries and workshop fabrication/welding tasks
Battery & Electrical Work
Checking voltages and battery gravities
Working on electric forklift systems and components
PDI & Equipment Preparation
Preparing new and used equipment for delivery
Completing manufacturer check-sheet inspections
Supporting equipment dispatch and receipt
Workshop Administration
Completing job sheets and timesheets
Recording repair progress and parts used
Liaising with the Service ControllerWhat We're Looking For
You may already be a forklift engineer, or have experience in:
Plant
HGV
Agricultural machinery
Powered access
Construction equipment
Vehicle mechanicsIdeally You'll Have:
Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience
Strong fault-finding ability
Welding/fabrication experience (advantageous)
A reliable, can-do attitude
