QA Supervisor – Night Shift

What you’ll be doing
As QA Supervisor on the night shift you will lead a quality assurance team to verify that all materials and finished products are safe and comply with relevant specifications, legislation, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Night Production Manager to ensure safe, legal food production.
* Complete audits, KPIs and monitor output consistency for compliance.
* Train the team on new processes and procedures; build capability.
* Investigate customer complaints and non‑conformances; provide data for resolution.
* Organise organoleptic panels to ensure consistent quality.
* Maintain a safe working environment and meet Health, Safety and Environment standards.
* Manage the night QA team, ensuring tasks align with schedules and trackers.
* Monitor micro results and initiate investigations as required.
* Co‑operate with the hygiene team to ensure swabbing and hygiene audits meet program schedules.
Qualifications and Experience
* Higher National Diploma level education and/or experience in food manufacturing.
* Experience managing teams and leading people.
* Level 2/3 food safety certification.
* Basic knowledge of weight legislation, allergen awareness and practical allergen management.
* Experience working with computer systems.
* Understanding of internal audit processes and technical KPIs.
* HACCP training and knowledge of good manufacturing practice (GMP).
* Demonstrated non‑conformance reporting techniques.
* Microbiological awareness of food safety basics.
* Basic knowledge of hygiene principles and legal labeling practice.
