<div><h3>Ward Manager</h3><p>The closing date is 30 June 2026.</p><h3>Job Summary</h3><p>Lead the 17‑bed inpatient ward, responsible for safety, quality, operations, finance and clinical governance.</p><h3>Why Mulberry Ward is Different</h3><ul><li><b>Multi-Million Environment:</b> Completed a structural redesign creating a modern psychologically informed space.</li><li><b>Gold-Standard Quality:</b> Only ward in the Trust to achieve Royal College of Psychiatrists Accreditation.</li><li><b>Pioneering Anti-Racism:</b> First ward to deliver mandatory anti‑racism programme to 100% of team.</li><li><b>Clinical Innovation:</b> Leading diagnosis‑led length of stay initiatives and embedding DIALOG+.</li><li><b>True MDT Infrastructure:</b> Supported by Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist, Band 6s, ward‑based clinical leaders, Peer Support Workers, volunteers, and a 7‑day therapeutic activities programme.</li></ul><h3>Role & Responsibilities</h3><p>Operational & cultural lead, holding overall responsibility for safety, quality, financial and clinical pillars.</p><ul><li><b>Clinical and Quality Governance:</b> Oversee high‑acuity mixed‑sex mental health care using least restrictive practice; drive clinical innovations including DIALOG+, diagnosis‑led length of stay initiatives, and 5 Always Measures.</li><li><b>Cultural Stewardship & Equity:</b> Sustain anti‑racism programme, embed monthly behavioural themes, ensure equity for staff and patients.</li><li><b>Operational Precision:</b> Manage rosters, budgets, vacancies; ensure precision and safety, meet performance targets (RADAR, PDRs, MAST, sickness absence).</li><li><b>MDT Integration & Supervision:</b> Lead full MDT, foster culture of inclusion, protect professional boundaries.</li><li><b>Person Specification:</b> Active professional registration, clinical leadership experience, resilient, data‑driven strategic thinker.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Professional registration (RMN / RNLD / RGN / OT / AHP / AMHP / Psychological Professional)</li><li>Continuing Professional Development evidence</li><li>Postgraduate qualification relevant to area of practice</li><li>Literacy, numeracy, ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)</li></ul><h3>Desirable Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Leadership or management qualification</li><li>Degree qualification relevant to area of practice</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Significant experience with complex needs patients in specialist field</li><li>Experience with high‑risk behaviour patients</li><li>Collaborative working with service users and families/carers</li><li>Management supervision</li><li>Developing practice standards</li><li>Quality improvement activities</li><li>Leadership or management experience</li><li>Staff management experience</li></ul><h3>Desirable Experience</h3><ul><li>Project and change management</li><li>Inter‑agency and partnership working</li><li>Training delivery to multi‑professional groups</li><li>Experience within inpatient and community settings
