The Bid Coordinator will take ownership of coordinating and delivering technically robust, commercially competitive, and compliant tenders across RJ Power Networks’ HV/LV projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and an ability to integrate inputs from engineering, estimating, SHEQ, and commercial teams to produce winning proposals
Roles and Responsibilities: How the Expected Outcomes are Achieved
* Take ownership of the bid lifecycle from receipt of enquiry through to submission.
* Interpret tender documentation, identify deliverables, and communicate requirements to internal stakeholders.
* Work closely with estimators, engineers, and commercial staff to develop accurate, compliant, and technically sound bids.
* Prepare technical method statements, delivery strategies, and supporting documents, drawing on subject-matter experts as needed.
* Lead bid programme planning, coordinating inputs to ensure deadlines are met.
* Assess client specifications, standards, and pre-construction information to ensure submissions are technically compliant.
* Identify commercial and contractual risks during the bid stage and escalate appropriately.
* Collate project delivery evidence, case studies, and technical data to strengthen proposals.
* Develop and maintain a structured library of technical responses, CVs, and project references.
* Support client clarifications, presentations, and interviews following submission.
* Act as a central point of contact for bid queries, driving accountability across the bid team.
Requirements For The Role:
* Experience coordinating and producing technical/commercial bids
* Understanding of HV/LV networks or electrical engineering
* Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and tender documents
* Strong writing skills for method statements and technical narratives
* Excellent planning, organisation, and time management
* Familiarity with NEC/JCT forms of contract
* Familiarity with construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors
* Relevant technical or construction-related qualification
