A globally recognised and highly respected organisation within the retail sector is seeking a Finance Manager to join their established finance team. With a global presence and a reputation built on innovation, premium product quality and customer service excellence, this business continues to experience strong growth across both retail andmercial markets. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint amercially minded and technically strong Finance Manager to support financial operations at their Watford site.
Your new role
You will take ownership of financial reporting for designated regions, ensuring accuracy,pliance and meaningful performance insights. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and KPI reporting
1. Managing sales ledger, purchase ledger and nominal ledger activities
2. Preparing month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
3. Analysing financial performance and presenting findings to senior leadership and board level
4. Supporting budgeting processes and periodic reforecasting
5. Ensuringpliance with HMRC and relevant regulatory requirements
6. Assisting with the year-end audit and liaising with external auditors
7. Monitoring cash flow and managing intepany transactions
8. Producing weekly and ad-hoc reports for key stakeholders
9. Working closely with wider finance teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting
10. Driving process improvements, cost-saving initiatives and efficiencies across finance
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
11. Have proven experience in a similar Finance Manager / Management Accountant position
12. Possess strong technical accounting knowledge across financial and management accounting
13. Be an effectivemunicator with the ability to present financial information clearly
14. Demonstrate a proactive approach with strong attention to detail
15. Be confident working with large data sets and deadlines
16. Have strong systems skills, including advanced Excel; SAP experience is advantageous
17. Have prior experience in a fast-pacedmercial or retail environment
What you'll get in return
