Red Sky Personnel are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to work across the Midlands - Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire.
We are recruiting for a permanent Senior Engineer to initially work on the Environment Agency Flood Alleviation Scheme in the East Midlands. You will need to provide overall control for the technical aspects of the project, including monitoring and coordinating design changes. You must have a comprehensive understanding of work quality, ensuring that works are constructed in line with the project specifications and that ITP plans/records are produced and maintained in accordance with project progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake day-to-day setting out duties independently
* Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers
* Manage and monitor all site sample/performance testing requirements and maintain records as per the contract specification
* Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements
* Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits accordingly
* Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing relevant information for records and claims
* Monitor and control temporary works
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
* Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and company procedures
Skills Required
We seek a proactive problem solver and confident communicator who can liaise effectively with various professionals. The ideal candidate should have extensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects such as highways, roads, and earthworks. Proficiency with Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring data from AutoCAD to surveying equipment is essential. A good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance processes is required. Leadership skills and knowledge of construction practices are also important.
A full UK driving license is mandatory due to travel requirements across the Midlands. A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
