We are looking to recruit innovative midwives who are passionate about providing quality care to birthing families and are dedicated to evidence‑based care. In Oxfordshire, we offer women and healthcare professionals a unique setup of our Maternity Services where around 7,500 babies are born annually.
Main duties of the job
* Work as a midwife, fulfilling the role defined by the World Health Organisation and the NMC Midwives Rules and Code of Practice.
* Provide care in the John Radcliffe hospital setting, including day‑case work, in‑hospital and community roles.
* Work 50 % night shifts to ensure 24/7 maternity services.
* Participate in duty rosters, handovers and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Maintain accurate patient records and comply with NHS policies.
Person specification
* Registered Midwife with current UK registration and working in the UK as a Band 6 or above.
* Training in NIPE.
* Excellent communication, teamwork and clinical skills.
* Commitment to delivering compassionate excellence.
