We are currently looking for a Family Welfare Lead position at Leiston Primary School following a development of the welfare team. You will be required to work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure all practices, reports and referrals are in place to meet the needs of our pupils. Liaison with external agencies such as the Educational Welfare Officer, family support practitioners and other family support agencies will be required as well as close working with the school welfare and educational team to support provision. You will strategically manage the support provided by the Family Welfare Assistants in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCo. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a positive trend of attendance for all pupils. Our school is a caring environment rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2017 and again during our 2023 visit. We are always driving forwards with our journey to improve and develop the provision for the children in our local community. We support pupils from a range of backgrounds, and we are looking for dedicated individuals who have high expectations of pupil attendance, behaviour, progress, attainment and experiences working with children with additional needs and families who may require additional support.
