Children's Clinical Psychologist
£60/70 per hour (DOE)
24 hours per week
South Gloucestershire
Term time only
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the psychological wellbeing and development of the students within our setting.
In this role, you will carry out psychological assessments, formulation and intervention planning to support young people with complex needs. You will work closely with education staff, therapists and families to ensure that support strategies are consistent and tailored to each individual.
You will also contribute to the development of Positive Behaviour Support approaches across the provision, helping to promote a nurturing and structured environment where students can flourish.
Essential Requirements:
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Clinical, Educational or related field).
* Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or complex developmental needs.
* Experience working within educational, clinical or care settings.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Interest in evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting psychological assessments and developing evidence-based intervention plans.
* Supporting students through direct therapeutic work and consultation.
* Advising teaching and support staff on effective strategies for supporting learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Delivering training and guidance to staff and families.
* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Supporting the development and supervision of Assistant Psychologists where appropriate.
