Main duties of the job

We are looking to attract an effective communicator with clinical expertise and a flexible problem-solving approach. The ability to work well with all members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential, as is the ability to promote the role of physiotherapy in line with the National Mental Health Physiotherapy Strategy and NICE Guidance.

You will be expected to deliver at the highest level of clinical reasoning and will be enthusiastic and motivated to work as part of an integrated team. You will need good organisational and communication skills and be able to demonstrate highly developed specialist clinical expertise and knowledge.

We are looking for a therapist with appropriate demonstrable post-graduate experience. Experience of working with clients with mental health problems, working within acute medicine, orthopaedics, elderly care and pain management would also be desirable. This position would be ideal for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist wanting to progress into a Band 7 role, or an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge and wanting to further develop their clinical leadership and management skills and contribute to the ongoing development of Older People's Mental Health Services.
