Scientist – Injectable Formulation Development (Biologics)

About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a talented laboratory-based scientist to join their Injectable Formulation Development team. This group plays a pivotal role in advancing biologics programmes, providing robust formulations to support the full development lifecycle—from early toxicology studies through to late‑stage clinical trials. The team is also committed to innovating new formulation technologies to enhance the stability of both conventional and next‑generation antibody formats.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct analytical experiments and enabling studies to support non‑clinical and clinical development.
* Contribute to pre‑formulation and formulation activities, including lab set‑up and maintenance of technical resources.
* Prepare scientific documentation such as protocols and reports, drawing on a strong understanding of biochemical and biophysical degradation pathways in antibody‑based molecules.
* Present experimental findings to project teams and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
* Master’s degree (or equivalent) or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on laboratory experience.
* Strong technical expertise in protein/antibody analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and sub‑visible particle analysis.
* Experience in formulation development and/or laboratory automation is advantageous.
* High level of numeracy with the ability to critically interpret data.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
* Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
