Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on an exciting transformation journey as we prepare to implement a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Informatics Business Partner to play a key role in shaping, delivering, and embedding this major digital change programme across the organisation.
Note: This is a fixed‑term opportunity providing secondment cover for the substantive post holder who will return to their role in February 2027.
Main duties of the job
This position is part of Salisbury Hospital's Information Services team. The business partner will work closely with operational and clinical teams to deliver analysis that supports high quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the drive for improved data literacy and data governance across the Trust.
* Embedding self‑service BI and engaging divisions to guide them towards intelligent decision making.
* Implementing a new business intelligence tool for the Trust.
* Supporting the division alignment project to align team members with Trust divisions.

Person Specification
Essential
* Degree or equivalent in a numerical subject, with evidence of continuing professional development
* At least 2 years’ experience in information analysis and interpretation
* Experience working in a complex and demanding environment
* Strong statistical and analytical knowledge, able to interpret and present conclusions both written and verbal to a wide range of customers
* Experienced in working with and managing complex data sets
* Knowledge of SQL Server programming and administration tasks relevant to data processing and transformation
* Good knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Excel (2010 or later), including complex formulae, pivot tables and lookups
* Highly skilled in interpreting and presenting data, with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience
Desirable
* Specialist knowledge and experience of information management and business intelligence in an NHS information analyst role
* Experience relevant to working in an acute Trust
* Experience of mentoring staff, especially those not data‑literate
* Expert knowledge of NHS reporting, structures, content and data standards
* Previous experience with Power BI
