About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and organised Retail/Showroom Sales Consultant to join our friendly team. This role is based in our bathroom, kitchen, and log burner showroom and is essential to the smooth running of our sales and ordering processes.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a showroom environment, a strong understanding of customer service, and excellent attention to detail when handling orders and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve customers in the showroom, providing product advice and guidance on bathrooms, kitchens, and log burners
* Manage and process all showroom orders from start to finish
* Liaise with suppliers to place and track product orders
* Manage the showroom diary and appointment schedule, including customer consultations and supplier/contractor visits
* Type up detailed customer quotes and follow up on outstanding quotes to convert to sales
* Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials for ongoing projects
* Assist in supporting larger projects such as extensions and loft conversions by ordering required items through the showroom when necessary
* Maintain accurate records of all orders and client interactions
* Keep the showroom clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
* Work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Provide holiday cover for colleagues as required (additional hours will be agreed in advance)
Requirements
* Showroom experience is essential (preferably within kitchens, bathrooms, or similar products)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines at once
* Confident working independently and as part of a team
* Basic IT skills (email, order systems, etc.)
* Reliable, proactive, and customer-focused attitude
* Willingness to work Saturdays as part of the weekly hours
* Flexibility to cover additional hours when colleagues are on annual leave
Hours & Working Pattern
* 20 hours per week, including:
* 6 hours on Saturday (required)
* 14 hours across weekdays (flexible depending on availability and business needs)
* Additional hours will be required occasionally to cover staff holidays
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
