Job Description
This position will support the coordination and management of global R&D procurement and sourcing needs of GE Pharmaceutical Diagnostics’ (PDx), CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) team, focusing on supplier aspects of drug substance and drug product development for clinical trials worldwide, aligned with PDx category strategy.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a strategic approach to supplier management for the R&D Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) supply base.
* Ensure all activities with external vendors comply with GMP, SOPs, and corporate policies.
* Coordinate internal collaboration among R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
* Support onboarding of new suppliers and identify gaps to meet business needs globally.
* Execute strategic sourcing strategies, develop contracting frameworks, and manage ongoing performance.
* Support vendor selection processes, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, and coordinate bid reviews.
* Manage R&D contracts, scope of work, payment terms, and budgets, including change orders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support contractual and project requirements.
* Work with Finance on budgets and forecasts.
* Ensure supplier quality oversight in partnership with Quality teams.
* Develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance using KPIs, and foster continuous improvement.
* Support supplier governance and operational reviews.
* Identify industry trends and develop communication and implementation strategies.
* Contribute to complex projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with significant industry experience.
* Experience in category management, sourcing, and delivering cost savings.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D, drug development, and vendor management.
* Network within pharmaceutical CDMO or CMO environments is advantageous.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and influence across functions.
* Willingness to travel up to 15% internationally.
