Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) enables NATO's Strategic Effects across all domains and regions, supporting SACEUR from routine activities to crisis and Maximum Level of Effort operations. Within the Operations Directorate, the J2 Division provides intelligence, warning, and situational awareness to ACO. This position is located in Moleworth, UK.
Principal Duties
1. Provide dedicated system support for all systems used within J2T, ensuring smooth operation and performing maintenance.
2. Act as the primary CIS point of contact with NCIA and other agencies/contractors for resolving complex or remote system‑related issues.
3. Install, manage, and maintain targeting software and tools, including Joint Targeting System (JTS).
4. Operate and administer the Automated NATO Data Interface (ANDI), facilitating exchange of targeting data with Maintenance Integrated Database (MIDB).
5. Populate relevant JTS databases to support NATO targeting.
6. Develop system‑related SOPs and standards for effective use across J2T.
7. Maintain close collaboration with other cells and section heads to support J2T operations.
8. Coordinate management and exchange of data with NATO and national targeting entities.
9. Maintain and update the J2T external website.

* Tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive data and classified material.
* Ability to work across a team of military and civilian professionals of varied rank, nationality, and experience.
* Experience representing SHAPE J2T with external organisations, delivering formal briefings to senior staff and visitors.
* Capacity to maintain professional and experienced data and system management capability, ensuring continuity beyond rotating personnel.
Required Experience and Skills
* Management and administration of information systems.
* Computer information security methods and procedures.
* Local and Wide Area Network concepts (protocols, electronic mail, internet, and related network equipment).
* Experience in Communications Information Systems.
Education and Training
* Higher Secondary education with intermediate vocational training or secondary education with advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification, with at least 2‑4 years of related experience.
* Course: 9074 (NCIA) – JTS/FAST Data Manager.
* Course: JTG‑JT‑2535 – NATO Joint Targeting Staff (NJTS).
* Course: JTG‑JT‑31755 – NATO Joint Intermediate Target Development Course.
* Course: JTS JTT (CASPOA) – Joint Targeting System Train the Trainer.
Language Requirement
* English – proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing (SLP 3322).
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in a multinational, joint, or NATO targeting environment.
