Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager – Freelance | London/Hybrid
Location: Hybrid – London office and remote/home
Contract: Freelance (Outside IR35 potential subject to determination)
Duration: 5–6 months full-time

We are working with a leading residential developer on a prestigious £600 million redevelopment project in Central London. They are seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage the investor approval process on a full-time freelance contract for a period of 5–6 months.
The Role:
This is a critical position where you will take ownership of the change management process, working closely with the main contractor, consultants, and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be assessing change requests and preparing clear, accurate, and funder-ready business cases to support submission and approval from the project's investor group.
You will act as a key interface between the delivery team and the funders, ensuring all information is correctly structured, technically sound, and commercially justified.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and validate change requests and proposals from the consultants.
* Prepare and structure robust, funder-facing documentation to support change approval submissions.
* Support the development team with investor reporting and governance requirements.
About You:
* You may have come from a Quantity Surveying background
* Experience on major residential or mixed-use schemes (ideally £100m+).
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to translate complex technical and commercial data into clear, concise reports.
* Confident working with stakeholders at all levels including contractors, consultants, developers, and funding partners.
* Able to work independently and take full ownership of key workstreams within a high-pressure, fast-paced project environment.
