Reception Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports children's early development. Foster independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through play-based and structured activities. Assess and track children's progress, identifying next steps and providing individualized support. Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure every child thrives. Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and well-being. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities. Reception Teacher Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in Early Years (Reception or Nursery). Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. Passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A team player with a positive and flexible approach. Commitment to continuous professional development and best early years teaching practices.
