?? Blackburn ?? Full-time | Permanent| In Office Role Due to continued growth and maternity cover, an established business is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will support a broad range of accounting and finance activities and play an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This position is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a desire to develop within a finance function. Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment is preferred, but attitude and aptitude are key. Key Responsibilities Monitoring an in-house sales invoicing system, including raising invoices, credit notes and amendments Liaising with franchisees and responding to queries Managing accounts payable across multiple entities Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate records Preparing supplier payment runs to agreed deadlines Posting bank receipts and payments (Sage 200) Assisting with the preparation of financial information for the wider finance team Handling telephone and email queries in a professional and timely manner Maintaining accurate client files, scanning and filing documentation Learning and understanding FCA compliance requirements Supporting the maintenance of policies, procedures and manuals Skills & Experience Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills Previous finance or accounts experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills IT literate with Microsoft Office; Sage 200 experience advantageous Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask Able to work independently and use initiative A reliable team player with a flexible and enthusiastic approach Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Salary & Benefits Salary: £29,000 per annum 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Birthday off Pension scheme Free on-site parking Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm One-hour lunch break Office-based role This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build and grow their career within finance in a supportive team environment.
