Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant
Autism Anglia and Doucecroft School, based in Colchester, are seeking a Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant. The successful LSA will support learners in the classroom, during activities, break, and lunch times, and be part of the Learning Support Assistants Team. The role is ideal for an LSA who enjoys working in both individual and group settings.

Doucecroft School, Eight Ash Green, Colchester, CO6.
Salary
£11,141.66 per annum (Term time only, plus additional days for training).
Hours
Monday to Friday 10:30 am – 2:00 pm (term‑time only).
Key Responsibilities
* Directly support learners in the classroom, activities, break, and lunch times.
* Work closely with teachers and other LSA to assist with lessons and scheme of work completion.
* Support small groups or individual learners across age and ability ranges on site and in the community.
* Assist learners in physical activities such as swimming, horse riding, ice skating, etc.
* Contribute to the smooth running of the educational setting.
* Promote and comply with school policies on child protection, safeguarding, health & safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in child care and child development.
* Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above.
* Excellent observational and organisational skills.
* NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable (not essential).
* Experience with individuals with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting is highly advantageous.
