SmartMist Systems Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer and installer of high-performance water mist fire suppression systems. We’re known for delivering reliable, British Standard-compliant systems across the residential and commercial sectors — and for our close, long-term relationships with both direct clients and distributors.
We are now seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to help support our national workload and our growing UK distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, test, and maintain SmartMist systems across residential and commercial properties
* Carry out diagnostics and perform PCB-based upgrades on site
* Join in-house install teams where needed for hands-on support
* Work independently and travel across the UK — especially in the South East, Midlands, Wales, and Scotland
* Support our distributor partners with occasional site visits, technical advice, and system commissioning
* Represent SmartMist with professionalism and clarity in client-facing situations
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in fire suppression, alarms, HVAC, BMS, or similar
* Comfortable working with tools, testing equipment, and control systems
* Technically competent and confident problem-solver
* Excellent communication and time management
* Clean UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as needed
* A reliable, professional working style with an eye for quality
