An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-driven Safety, Health & Environmental Officer to join the MBDA team. The role covers the UK and can be based at any of our sites. Salary:
Circa £35,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits
Dynamic (hybrid) working:
Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working, such as 3 days on-site and 2 days remote working each week.
Security Clearance:
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver SHE-related training to enable management and employees to carry out their work safely and effectively. You will be involved in SHE activities across the UK, including assessments and communications, ensuring effective implementation of SHE policies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with departments such as engineering, manufacturing, facility maintenance, and security, gaining practical and professional experience in a challenging sector.
What we're looking for:
* Minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
* Certificate in Environmental Management (preferred)
* Significant experience and expertise in SHE
* Broad understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to MBDA operations
* Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex information
* Ability to design, develop, and deliver SHE training effectively
