About the role
As an expert in fluid power, you will act as the conduit between our branch network and customers, supporting existing accounts and uncovering new opportunities across hydraulics, pneumatics, filtration, and process valves. You will cover a patch that depends on your location, with a company vehicle provided. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Build relationships across the branch network, providing technical expertise, knowledge, and assistance.
* Visit and build relationships with new and existing customers.
* Provide technical advice and support on our products.
* Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, including presentations and demonstrations.
* Identify and develop strategies across the geographical area to target new customers.
* Convert quotations into customer orders.
* Collaborate with your team on quotations and enquiries.
Qualifications
* Fluid power expertise and excellent technical knowledge is essential.
* Experience of working in an engineering/technical environment.
* Customer‑focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
* Ability to identify and solve technical challenges for customers.
* Proficient in the sales cycle including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals.
* Enthusiastic, keen, and willing to learn.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Strong level of communication and numerical skills.
* Strong collaboration and networking skills.

Recruitment Process

Stage 1 – Initial screening (ongoing). Stage 2 – Teams/Video interview with Talent Acquisition Partner. Stage 3 – Face‑to‑face final stage interview at our Halesowen offices. Interview lasts 1 hour focusing on skills, knowledge, experience, and motivations.
