Metro Rod Glasgow
Salary: £33k basic + door‑to‑door paid overtime, plus £50 per job for additional work brought in.
Hours: 8‑5pm with on‑call rota (1 in 8 weekends, incl. bank holidays).
Metro Rod works with Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Mitie, Clarion, Axa, Wetherspoons and many more in FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors.
What does it entail?
* Carry out services related to cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining customers’ drains.
* Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
* Conduct surveys.
* Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
* Accurately record work details via bespoke internal/client systems and apps.
* Communicate effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to maintain excellent customer service.
* Participate in an on‑call rota to service clients 24/7/365; one week in four (variable by business needs).
What are we looking for?
* Experience with high‑pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying (commercial drainage experience desirable; training provided for suitable candidates).
* Confined space entry experience.
* CSCS tickets.
* Excellent problem‑solving ability and sound technical knowledge.
* Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
* Willingness to work unsocial hours.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to cover all mentioned areas.
