Role Overview
The role is based in Rotherham and works under the HSEQ Manager with a wider team of five across multiple sites. The site has about 100 staff and the advisor will travel to project sites once a month. The new HSE Advisor will lead the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of health, safety and environmental management systems, processes and procedures, including occupational hygiene controls and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development and improvement of HSE management systems.
- Review the effectiveness and compliance of HSE systems, including risk assessments and current control measures.
- Assist in the organisation and provision of HSE training.
- Drive and improve workplace behaviour and culture, owning the HSE roadmap for the year.
Qualifications
- Experience as an HSE Advisor within a manufacturing business.
- NEBOSH certificate level qualifications.
- Training as an internal auditor and/or environmental qualification desirable.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
- Strong organisational and decision‑making skills; innovative and lateral thinker.
- Ability to work to and deliver against agreed targets and timescales.
- Mature, pragmatic, resilient, driven, determined, self‑motivated.
- Confident and assertive.
Salary is up to £45,000 DOE.
