The role Drive / operate heavy plant and machinery such as Tugmasters, translifters Discharge and load vessels Mooring and releasing vessels Any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal Your profile It is important that you have a good work ethic Experience of driving large vehicles and operating heavy plant and machinery would be advantageous It is essential you have a pro-active approach and knowledge of Health and Safety You will have good interpersonal and communication skills Good IT skills are desirable for use of in-house/ on-board Freight Management Systems You must be a self-motivated individual Good time-keeping is essential Ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies You must be able to work within a team. A flexible approach to work is necessary as you will be expected to cover when required Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal, which can include site maintenance / cleaning You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe Our offer £30,000 - £32,000 per annum Pension scheme Life Assurance Cover Closing date for applications is 17.00hrs on Sunday 21st December with interviews being held in the New Year.
