Duration: This is a nine-week, paid programme. Students must be available for the full duration.
Location: Based in Piper Sandler's Aberdeen office (remote working not available).
Start date: Monday 23 rd June 2025.
Seize the opportunity this summer:
We are currently seeking driven individuals with an interest in finance to join our growing Energy, Power & Infrastructure team as a Summer Analyst, fully embracing the collaborative, demanding, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment of a junior banker in Investment Banking .
Summer analyst snapshot:
You will begin with a week of classroom training covering accounting fundamentals, financial modelling, valuation and excel. This will be provided by a reputable third-party and will be held in Piper Sandler's London office (travel and amodation will be provided). We will provide supplemental training before you start and throughout the course of the programme, as well as extensive on-the-job training.
Following the classroom training, you will embrace the Piper Sandler culture, creating invaluable relationships with your junior and senior bankers. A business case study will form a core part of the programme. As part of this, you will meet with a real client, participate in a group task and deliver a final report and presentation to the client. The programme is designed to provide aprehensive learning experience where you will also have the opportunity to engage in live projects and make meaningful contributions to our team's goals. What we are looking for:
• On target for a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent)
• Good understanding of accounting and finance fundamentals
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strongmunication skills (written and verbal)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships and rapport
• Motivated, team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Ability to manage a variety of different workstreams simultaneously
