You’ll report to our Countryside Manager, completing a team of five at Hinton Ampner all focussed on the delivery of our Reimagining a Hampshire Estate Project. Together we form a Countryside department with a small team of Rangers looking after our commons in North East Hampshire. We collaborate with property colleagues alongside specialists in Estates, Farming, Trees, Archaeology all helping us achieve our ambition.Click here to learn more about this location.As one of two Area Rangers at Hinton Ampner, you will work to our standard role profile with each role focussed on varied and targeted outcomes. We have multiple objectives including woodland creation, regenerative farming and parkland restoration delivered by our Reimagining a Hampshire Estate project.With a trees, woodland and operations focus you’ll develop a programme of works bringing your understanding of nature conservation, rural land and risk management. You’ll manage an operational Ranger and volunteers, support them in looking after site presentation, visitor safety and habitat condition across our estate. Machinery management, operational risk & compliance are a key part of weekly operations. You’ll plan, programme and lead on the practical delivery of our woodland creation and tree planning across the estate in keeping with grant agreement conditions and project outcomes.
