Are you passionate about supporting apprentices and students in developing their careers in Accountancy and Finance? Rawlinson & Hunter LLP is seeking a Training and Apprenticeship Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract to manage the training and development needs (technical and soft skills) of all students across the Firm. We very much view ourselves as a training firm and many of our new recruits are college leavers and recent graduates with an annual intake of more than a dozen people under the AAT (Level 4) and ACA (Level 7) apprenticeship schemes alone.

What You'll Do:

As a Training and Apprenticeship Manager, you will play a key role in helping to ensure all of our students make the most of their early career with the Firm, stand the best chance of success in their studies and are well trained so that they can support qualified staff and manager in delivering work on client matters. Your responsibilities will include:

* Frequently and consistently communicating with all students in regards to their progress.
* Working seamlessly and collaboratively with the departmental managers and the allocated client managers responsible for students on the apprenticeship and firm funded study programmes.
* Acting as the main point of contact for students on all study pathways across the Firm and managing requests and enquires as appropriate.
* Plan and manage individual study plans across the Firm and maintain up to date records of progress and performance for all students.
* Ensuring students are clear of the expectations of them in terms of behaviour, organising study and exams in line with the timetable, policies and business needs.
* Assisting with the recruitment, induction, orientation and apprenticeship registration process of new students.

What We're Looking For:

* The ability to manage a heavy, diverse and often conflicting workload
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience of managing staff and giving feedback, including managing difficult conversations
* Experience of working with apprenticeships, study programmes and students previously would be desirable
* Knowledge of qualifications within the accountancy and taxation field would be desirable
