Position Overview
Resident Doctor – Oncology, London. Facility: Private Care at Guy’s, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
Contract: Full-time or Part-time. Shifts: 1 x 24-hour shift per week or 2 x 12-hour shifts per week (weekends optional). Salary: Highly competitive, plus exceptional benefits.
About The Role
Dedicated Resident Doctor in Oncology, within a specialist oncology service managing haematology and solid tumour cases.
Collaborate closely with world‑class consultants, oncology nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centred care.
Opportunity to develop oncology expertise in a state‑of‑the‑art private hospital setting with advanced technology, research innovation, and a strong focus on clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Admission clerking and management of elective and semi‑elective patients
* Excellent communication with patients and consultants
* Working with the multidisciplinary team and as part of the resuscitation team
Qualifications and Experience
* Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practise in the UK
* Completion of Foundation Training, plus a minimum of 4 years of IMT‑4 / Core Medical Training (CM4) or equivalent experience
* Full MRCP qualification
* Proven experience (minimum 4 years) managing oncology patients across haematology and solid tumour cases
* A commitment to teamwork, compassionate care, and delivering a first‑class patient experience
* Motivation to develop within the role as our cancer services continue to expand
