Position: Electrical Technician
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you'll help deliver innovative, high-quality automation solutions that embody Labman's mission to enable science through technology.
What You'll Do:
* Participate in the full life cycle of engineering projects, including installation and commissioning (potentially worldwide)
* Design and develop electrical systems for bespoke robotic solutions, including power circuits, motors, sensors, and safety systems
* Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring panels, and peripheral hardware to a high standard
* Loom, label, and terminate cables and pneumatic lines neatly and accurately
* Ensure all systems meet EU and ISO standards, directives, and safety legislation
* Communicate effectively with project leaders, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
* Support fault finding, testing, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
What You'll Need:
* HNC (Level 4) or higher in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
* Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience
* Strong ability to interpret IEC circuit diagrams and component datasheets
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Clear communication and teamworking abilities
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Effective time and task management
Desirable:
* Experience using SEE Electrical or similar drawing packages
* Familiarity with industrial fieldbuses, functional safety (ISO 13849), and diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators)
* Basic soldering and prototyping skills
* Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase systems, DC power circuits, and servo/stepper motors
