You will lead a growing team of over 15 dedicated staff, drive business development, and ensure operational excellence across all elements of our expanding service offerings. This role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of navigating complex market landscapes and fostering robust stakeholder relationships locally to Livingston and regionally. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Operational Management Strategic planning & execution : Proactively develop, refine, and implement strategic business plans that align with AEL's ambitious growth objectives and evolving service portfolio Team leadership & development : Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse and increasing team of over 15 staff members, fostering a high-performance culture, promoting professional development, and ensuring optimal resource allocation. Service enhancement : Oversee the continuous improvement and expansion of AEL's service offerings, ensuring they meet market demands, maintain high quality, and deliver tangible value to tenants and other customers. Operational excellence : Drive efficiency and effectiveness across all operational processes, ensuring seamless service delivery and optimal resource use Business Development, Marketing and Sales Market expansion : Identify, pursue, and secure extensive new business opportunities across public and private sector organisations, both locally within Livingston and regionally in West Lothian Sales & marketing strategy : Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to enhance AEL's market presence, brand recognition, and client acquisition. Proposal & bid management : Lead the end-to-end process for developing compelling proposals, tenders, and bids for new contracts, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with client needs Networking : Actively engage in strategic networking to build strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and potential partners. Stakeholder Management and Compliance Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Cultivate and maintain robust, long-term relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business and referrals. Board & stakeholder reporting: Proactively lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive reports, forecasts, and strategic updates to the AEL Board and other key stakeholders in AHA and elsewhere, providing insightful analysis and recommendations. Financial compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations, prepare and manage budgets effectively, and oversee robust financial planning and forecasting. HR & Health & Safety compliance : Guarantee full compliance with all human resources legislation, policies, and best practices, and uphold the highest standards of health and safety across all operations. Coach and enable all team members to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures and health and safety requirements whilst taking responsibility for ensuring these are accurate and up to date, managing any risk and highlighting to the Board of Directors where required .
