ABOUT THIS JOB
Arbitration Chambers is seeking an experienced Finance Manager.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Chambers, we are seeking someone to be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance function of a busy and growing global arbitration practice, as well as preparing regular financial reports and financial projections.
We are looking for a person with the maturity to interact confidently with senior lawyers and the ability to foster good relationships with our external accountants and other members of our team.
The successful candidate will be someone who works with great attention to detail but can also use their experience to suggest ways to improve our financial procedures, processes and controls.
The role is based in central London and will require the successful candidate to attend Chambers at least 4 days per week.
PERSONAL AND SKILLS REQUIRMENTS
Candidates should:
* Have at least 5 years' finance/accounting experience in legal or professional services– ideally, but not necessarily, with a barristers’ chambers or law firm
* Have a professional accounting qualification – minimum AAT qualified, with CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent an advantage
* Be experienced working with Sage accounting software - knowledge of LEX helpful but not essential
* Have a high level of IT literacy (MS office and, in particular, Excel)
* Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
* Be proactive, organised and flexible, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Possess the utmost honesty and integrity
