Job Overview: The Quantity Surveyor (Q S) will oversee the commercial management of the DRAX Beneficiation Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) Project, a joint venture to process legacy ash into low-carbon cementitious material. The role centres on procurement, tendering, cost control, and administration of NEC4 contracts (ECC Option A, PSC, ECC Short Forms, TSC). Requiring a bachelor’s degree and deep NEC4 expertise, the QS will manage budgets, early warnings, costed risk registers, Applications for Payment (AFP), and compensation events. Based on site with a small team, the role demands meticulous record-keeping, regular reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, and occasional travel. Key Responsibilities: Compile and administer NEC4 contracts (ECC Option A, PSC, ECC Short Forms, TSC), ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual obligations. Lead procurement and tendering processes, including preparation, evaluation, and contract awards across NEC4 frameworks. Manage early warnings, identifying risks and implementing timely resolutions.
