A welcoming and supportive primary school in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated and engaging teacher to take on this crucial role. Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the Year 6 curriculum, including preparation for SATs
* Supporting pupils to achieve both academically and emotionally as they get ready for their move to secondary school
* Using formative and summative assessments to track progress and tailor learning
* Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child
* Leading or supporting extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities where possible
* Contributing to the wider school community and promoting a love of learning
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Recent or relevant experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6
* Strong knowledge of the Year 6 national curriculum and SATs preparation
* Excellent classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire
* A nurturing, flexible and reflective practitioner with high expectations
* A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
* Open to both full-time and part-time applicants committed to pupil progress
