The Service & Team:
We are looking for a Finance Support Assistant to work within the Charging and Adults Finance teams within Adult Social Care. We are a friendly and passionate team who work well together, are not afraid to try new ways of working and encourage personal development. You will be working within the Finance Support team, alongside 20 teammates split into two smaller teams.
You will need to be able to commute to offices within Cornwall- Truro and Bodmin are our primary locations. Training will be provided in these locations. This is a hybrid role, so remote working is available but the expectation to come in to the office regularly still stands.

The Role
As a Finance Support Assistant you will be providing essential support to front line colleagues and service users in a wide range of financial duties including:
Raising Purchase Orders and Invoices/Credits
Reconciling customer accounts
Assisting Service Users and Care Providers with payment and billing queries both over the phone and via email
Inputting client charges and adjusting user charges within MOSAIC
Create, maintain and up-date service user records using a range of related IT packages
Working flexibly and providing cover where needed to contribute to team targets by processing a significant volume of work with speed and a high degree of accuracy
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.
Working Pattern
We are looking for a permanent part time position for 18.5 hours per week. Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm. We will work with the successful candidate to find a mutually beneficial working pattern within office hours.
All employees are able to utilise our Flexible Working policy, this allows you flexibility over the times they work, to meet their needs, and that of the service. You can build up hours that can be used as additional flexi leave. Core hours are between 10am-3pm, and there will be days when you are rota'd on to duty tasks and will not be able to use your flexi time for that shift.
Other flexible working arrangements can be available on request.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who
Have experience using all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
5 GCSE's (A-C) or equivalent including English and Maths
Experience of working within a finance/business support role
