A long-established, MCS-certified renewable energy and electrical services business is seeking a Lead Electrician to take ownership of all electrical work and certification as they continue to grow. With 14+ years in operation and a strong pipeline across heat pumps, solar PV, EV charging and general electrical projects, the business is now bringing its electrical capability fully in-house.

The Role:
As Lead Electrician, you’ll be the primary electrical authority for the business, responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
* Installing and commissioning electrical systems, including:
* Solar PV
* Heat pumps
* EV chargers
* General domestic and light commercial electrical work
* Testing, inspecting and certifying all electrical work (acting as sign-off lead)
* Supporting the expansion of general electrical contracting, such as:
* New-build electrical services
* Electrical upgrades
* Additional residential and light commercial work
* Collaborating with the renewables and heating teams
* Mentoring the apprentice electrician and helping shape the future of the department
About You
You’ll excel in this role if you’re someone who wants more responsibility, more autonomy, and the chance to help build an electrical function.
Essential
* Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Experience with solar PV, EV installations or heat pumps
* Strong domestic or commercial experience
* Able to carry out inspection, testing and certification (2391 or equivalent preferred)
* High professional standards, reliability, and strong communication
Desirable
* Experience supervising or mentoring others
* Interest in helping grow a technical division
Salary & Benefits
* £40,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
* 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off) OR Friday afternoons off
