Conduct lab-based trials to evaluate proposed changes before full-scale implementation. Assist in analysing production data and contributing to troubleshooting when performance issues arise. Help scale up new products from lab or pilot plant to full manufacturing levels. Maintain accurate technical documentation and support process safety standards. Receive mentoring and exposure to key areas including process safety, quality control, and customer technical support. What We’re Looking For A degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field (BSc or equivalent). Passion for applied chemistry and interest in chemical manufacturing or industrial process development. Solid understanding of chemical principles and reaction mechanisms. Analytical thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with chemical drawing software. Eligibility to work on a COMAH-regulated site and pass relevant background checks. Desirable (but not essential): A Master’s qualification (MSc, MChem) in Chemistry or a related field. Previous industrial placement or internship in a manufacturing or R&D setting. Exposure to continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or BRITEST. Awareness of safety and regulatory standards (e.g., COSHH, REACH).
