The Role:
Join a thriving nursery teams dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a valued Nursery Manager you'll support children aged 0-5 years, planning exciting activities, promoting learning through play, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The salary is around £35k per year based on 35-40 hours per week.
Key Skills/job duties:
Leadership & Management:
Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery's day-to-day operations.
Lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality nursery staff.
Childcare & Education:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and development.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure the nursery meets all legal and statutory requirements for health, safety, and child protection.
Implement and enforce robust safeguarding procedures and policies.
Oversee fire drills and ensure all emergency procedures are in place and followed.
Administrative & Financial Duties:
Manage nursery budgets and monitor financial forecasting.
Keep accurate records and create regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee the ordering and maintenance of nursery resources and equipment.
Parent & Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.
Communicate children's progress and provide support to families.
Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other professionals.
